A List of Fundable Summer Opportunities
We welcome applicants who seek financial support for a writing program or an internship in publishing or game design. Here are some examples of programs that we consider appropriate for the HRSFANS Summer SciFi Grants. This list should by no means be considered exclusive--if you've found an opportunity that you think would fit the bill, we encourage you to apply and tell us about it.
HRSFANS Summer SciFi Writing Grants
If you are interested in honing your speculative fiction writing skills at a summer workshop, you can apply for a HRSFANS Summer SciFi Writing Grant to help defray the costs of tuition. Keep in mind that we are unlikely to be able to provide full tuition coverage for any of the longer programs.
HRSFANS Summer SciFi Industry Grants
If you are interested in building your skills in game design or speculative fiction publishing through a summer internship, you can apply or a HRSFANS Summer SciFi Industry Grant to help defray associated costs such as travel and living expenses. In cases where some of these costs are covered by the internship itself, our grants will tend to be correspondingly smaller.
